Time to start the hand binding portion of this quilt. I actually find this super fun and calming!

Nothing is stitching, oh, the bobbin ran out, that's easy to fix. So I fill up the bobbin, only to find I have the same problem now on the other end. 😂

Found the fabric for my next quilt at Pacific Fabrics in Seattle ~

So, it isn't part of the next quilt, but I wanted to learn foundation paper piecing. I'm very happy with the results, and now I wanna make something bigger with the technique!

Here's a closer photo, where you can also see the quilting a little better along with the backing fabric. I picked a rose quilting pattern so that it looked like a galaxy spiral in the star backing.

Here it is! My first true quilt fully completed! I'm super excited with how it came out and I'm already planning my next one.
This was made with the guidance of a friend who has been quilting for a long time. And was made using the remnants in her stash 🪡
