Highly highly recommend her kits if you want to get started with goldwork, everything was so beautifully wrapped and presented, perfectly clear instructions, great quality materials. Probably the best looking thing I've ever bought off Etsy.

Weekend crafting. Absolutely sold on goldwork as an ongoing hobby, not sure what to make next but it'll probably be bugs of some sort.
A goldwork embroidered bee on white cotton. Goldwork is very tactile and 3D because you use actual coils and chips of metal to build up layers.

At the moment I'm painting rocks again. Not sure to what end though. I might hide them in my garden. And I'm crocheting a wee blanket. And knitting a huge hexagon blanket that I'm not making a huge amount of progress on.

Spent the last two days laser etching data matrix codes onto 300 sample pucks. This is sped up 2x. It was a deeply satisfying task, to be honest.

I'm Eleanor, I work in science doing robot and crystal stuff, and I recommend fiddling with your bsky settings so you never forget to post alt-tex on your pics and videos!

I'm also choosing what colours to paint a room in our house. White balance a little off in this pic of swatches, but I'm thinking two-tone wave patterns in Tsunami and Surf Wash would be soothing and peaceful, despite the slightly apocalyptic colour name.
A handful of paint swatches in teals and blues. Colour names are always great; Tsunami, Emerald Wave, Surf Wash, Breathless, Sailing, Aquamarine Sea, Teal Vortex, Adventure, Ming Surprise... you get the idea.
