Professional remodelers broadly reported an uptick in project activity as 2024 closed out. Looking ahead they expect large project activity to recover (we estimate $50B is deferred). Tariffs throw a wrench in this. Higher pricing for lumber, appliances, hardware, etc. could stall progress.
