Hello I am literally agreeing he is in the wrong for one, I am simply saying in general we shouldn't assume someone knows everything that statement has nothing to do with Rule.

See I was not aware of him using it regularly. Regardless he is in the wrong. Nobody is denying that. My issue is the push for assuming everyone should understand everything because they are an adult. I do think he probably knew it wasn't a good idea to say it

I think people KNOW it's a slur but don't know how reclaiming a slur works and if being an ally means they can use it.

This app or nospace is totally dependent on what their users post. Every platform will be different and that GENERAL issue is not localized to one gender. There are thousands of examples for both gender.

Luckily for you I did not say he was a saint. My argument is (IN GENERAL) simply stop assuming everyone should know everything because you don't know everything and neither does ANYONE else. Hope this helps.

I did not say it is our job. There are many resources but that does not mean someone WILL know. Yes, clearly using a slur is wrong. I could use the same logic and ask you why you don't have full knowledge of literally anything when there's so many resources. Doesn't make sense.

Obviously actions have consequences and that is to be expected. It doesn't make the behavior ok I will agree! My argument is mainly, when did we all get the right to assume everyone is educated about everything? What is common sense for others might not be for everyone.

Ok that's your opinion. Sorry it isn't a positive one, but perhaps you wouldn't have such issues with things if you took on more fair beliefs! Hope this helps.

What matters most when apologizing and making mistakes is that you are sincere with your apology, recognize your error, and will strive to do better. Some people genuinely do not know adult or not, if your friend who was queer said it was ok I can understand the confusion.

regardless of what gender it is cruel to bring gender in. Men AND women get away with things this isn't about one gender.

Some people genuinely might not understand how that stuff works I feel it is a bit rude to assume everyone should understand everything just because they're an adult? Life is full of learning experiences AND misunderstandings. People can misunderstand what they were told or simply just not know.
