Poured some more Highland Park Heather. I am really enjoying this whisky, with a 63,6% ABV it can take quite a lot of water. HP with a bit more peat than i is used to is delicious. And not that expensive either 🥃

Have been forced by my doctor eating wheat for 4 weeks because need to leave blood-tests due stomach problems.
Well that didn’t help the stomach.
Finally back with oat and baked som oat bread for breakfast tomorrow 🥰

Actually i was at the Food & Wine at Älvsjö-fair yesterday and tried some wonderful High Coast whisky soon to be released. Matured in PX casks, peated to moderate 45ppm and 51% ABV.
There is not much whisky but i had some Speyburn 18 to. Tried som liquorice and bought chocolate.

This was interesting, the new core rage Glen Scotia 12 year is darker than the Springbank 10 but matured in all first fill bourbon barrels and seriously fruity. It will a ”always on the shelf” from now.

Must agree, i think both distilleries are making great whisky.
And i would really like to try that cask strength Ardnahoe. I have those first 3 core expressions on my shelf.
