How is a physical card tracked?
Only coppers will record it and even they ask you and check ID to verify.
It's the same as cash transactions, they aren't tracked.
I just see DigiID as police trying to extend their powers to surveil to a worrying degree
Look at the US, and imagine them with DigiID

We do need an accessible ID card in the UK, even 'minor' disabilities can prevent you getting a provisional license.
It is a real issue.
But the Digital ID for the UK reeks of crackdown and population control rather than a service

The app is fine I like it too but app UI has nothing to do with data security.
And yes your phone's IMEI is tracked, and we have almost as many CCTV cameras per person as China, so why hand more surveillance powers to possible future gov's that have made it clear they hate you or your demographic?

Even if being tracked isn't an issue for you. Do you trust the government to hold this information?
Do you remember the NHS data leaks over the last few years or the one in December last year?
Even if you say "yes" to both of those. Do you trust the NEXT government with that information about you?
