My son’s team is 6-0 right now. They’ve been grinding since Freshmen year and it’s all paying off Senior year. I’ve known a lot of these boys since 3rd grade and been filming games for as long. So great to see the hard work pay off. Here’s an edit of them facing off against the other 5-0 team.

I switched over from Premiere to Davinci Resolve 20 Studio over the last three weeks. Workflow, speed, color tools, effects are all much better for what I need and the cost is low. Latest hype edit for Friday night football done in Resolve. Shot at 4k 60fps wide and the cropped in.

Found a good process with Resolve that speeds up the center framing for highlights and vertical cropping for social. Much faster than my Premiere process before. 4k footage on the left and color corrected and center framed footage on the right.

Updated my rig for shooting football footage. Still trying to find a decent tripod that’s somewhat portable and has a decent fluid head for tracking shots. I shoot wide at 4k 60fps for the coaches and edit tighter for highlights. Turned an older iPhone into a mounted wired external monitor.

On S4 of The Bear rewatch and loving it even more a second time through. Ayo's direction of Napkins episode in S3 about Tina's backstory and Ayo's co-written Worms episode focused on Syd's family/culture is so well done. It's great to see talent shine on this show.

Poppy Kong's design made me think of one of my favorite non stereotypical anthropomorphic fem characters in media, Tigress, by Nicolas Marlet for Kung Fun Panda. Poppy is more conservative but good to see a design pushed more than the usual blandness.

I’m not much of an animator but ended up playing with Rough Animator on the flight back from DC. It’s made for stylus but you can get by with some finger drawing on a phone. Great app!
