Joe "Stinky" Besser allegedly had concerns about shots. Apparently, they "gave him such a pinch," that he recommended avoiding them entirely. And, THEN, Besser was replaced by "Curly Joe." Coincidence? Or conspiracy? God help us, in the future.

And from the NYT review of that night: "In its mawkish, undiluted sentimentality, it was reminiscent of the songs of faith that were once great favorites on the lesser concert circuits. It seemed incredible that such an anachronism could be offered straight at a Simon and Garfunkel concert."

It's REALLY great. Surrealistic masterpiece. Amazing 4th wall breaking opening credit sequence too! Fred + Jack + William Bendix + Don Ameche. The original "12 Chairs" -- but way funnier. Amazing 4th wall breaking opening credit sequence too! (Stay for "Zombies In The Attic"!)
