Go for something "tolerable and sustainable". For me that's jogging 30 mins 3x/week. Low tech, minimal start up cost (invest in good shoes, 2 running shirts--1 long and 1 short sleeved--1 running shorts, 1 running pants, 2 pair running socks), and you can do it anywhere/anytime.
