Why is this important? Again, it's because I'm rooting for Apple. The OS and its UX we use on the iPhone and Mac is dead in <3 years. The AI implementation is what will replace it. Better nail this or someone else will. You need both the model and the team that can innovate on it.

Further, Anthropic has a tech called MCP. While MCP doesn't get a lot of headlines 😉, Claude+MCPs can fast track Apple's strategy. Configuring iOS SDKs to MCP would make Claude capable of controlling the iPhone and external services. This is all doable in a hockey season.

When it comes to Siri, Apple, you're gonna need a bigger boat. Buy a frontier model company, now. Yeah, that ideally would have been OpenAI, but that's not affordable anymore. What about Anthropic? If Apple could actually buy Anthropic, that would be a game changer.

So, they shake it up internally, and bring in new leadership over Siri -- they choose the person who brought Vision Pro to life. 🤔 Sure, that's amazing tech, but isn't the whole point to ship something people will use. Yeah, I'm sure I read that before.
