New research by @alleal.bsky.social et al on the reciprocal relationship between moral conviction and engaging in collection action. Looking forward to digging into this one more closely!
Does participating in collective action moralize one's attitudes over time, and if so, how?

Happy to share that our paper is now out in JPSP! With Martijn van Zomeren, Roberto González, Ernestine Gordijn, Pia Carozzi, Michal Reifen Tagar, Belén Álvarez, Cristián Frigolett, and Eran Halperin. (1/9)

So excited to share our new paper!

We wondered whether misalignment between how youth think they are capable of acting (social, emotional, behavioral skills) and how they typically act (personality traits) matters for life outcomes.

If you’re curious too, check out the preprint!
1/ New paper!

How do personality traits (like the Big Five) and skills (like social engagement and emotional resilience) shape success? What happens when traits and skills don't match up with each other?

Categorizing Asians as a monolithic group in the US misses important - and under-research in psych - variation among Asian subgroups

The question I've got asked most frequently at conferences when I was presenting something on the perception of life events was whether there are any age differences.

Using data from the SOEP-IS, we addressed this simple but interessting question.

The perception of major life events across the life course
To better understand the effects of life events, research interest recently turned to the question of how life events are perceived (e.g., as positive, predictable, or controllable). However, research...

📊New study published in Emotion sheds light on affect dynamics in depression. Analysis of 842 adults over 56 days shows negative affect becomes more 'sticky' rather than unstable. This suggests emotional predictability, not instability, may be key. psycnet.apa.org/record/2025-...

There are many layers here, but I want to comment on one aspect of these findings for now--the editorial board representation. Some will see this and immediately think: we need to get more POC on our boards! I understand that impulse, but encourage you to think a few steps down the game tree 1/n.
