I haven't had a whole lot of time to draw the past few weeks because a teddy bear gained sentience
So anyway her name is Cheelai
Cheelai, a red Lhasa Apso. She looks like a teddy bear and/or a tiny wookie. Cheelai sleeping oh so peacefully. She is looking up At You. She is also basically the same colour as the leaves on the ground. Cheelai sitting next to Ruby, our Weimeraner. Two babies.

Vegetto holds the orb underneath him, using it to absorb much of the impact. As Kefla strikes mere moments behind him, Vegetto twists his body to the side. For a heartbeat, they make eye contact. "You as ya are now, I mean," Vegetto clarifies, pointing to Kefla, and specifically her heart. "Not Caulifla or Kale." The flowers, visited by a dragonfly, sway in the breeze. Their colours vary. Most are white or red. Some are pink - incomplete dominance - while one bears red and white petals - codominance. 'Do YOU regret it, Vegetto...?' Kefla wonders. "AAAARGH!!" Kefla yells as she grabs her head. Vegetto jolts in surprise again, vocalising slightly. Kefla growls in frustration again, gesturing to Vegetto. "I followed you all the way out here to SPAR, not get interrogated!" she exclaims. Placing a hand to her forehead, she looks away with a scowl, "I'm gonna get a headache with all this damn THINKING." "AHAHAHAH!" Vegetto erupts in laughter, hand covering his face as he practically howls. Gathering himself, he waves one hand in a dismissive motion. "Sorry, sorry! Guess I got carried away," he says, still laughing." We can finish what we started, but we'll hafta move first." The smile seems genuine. The hand at the back of his head shifts around to being on his neck, as he sighs, "I'd hate t' wreck this place," he admits, before adding a quieter, "... An' Danu would get real upset about it." Kefla, ready to move on from the conversation, releases energy as she prepares to fly. "Fine by me!" she exclaims. "Let's get going, already!" she takes off, looking down at Vegetto while he is close behind. [END]

"I HAVE SO!" Kefla shouts suddenly, jumping to her feet. Vegetto jolts in surprise, regarding her with an expression of confusion. "I KNEW-- ... Caulifla and Kale both knew what fusing withthose Potara meant." Kefla's voice drops along with her arms as she catches her own words. The stream continues to flow, her reflection imperfect. Vegetto laughs under his breath. "Yeah. Real convincin'." Vegetto carefully stands up as he falls quiet again. Kefla regards him with curiosity. He looks at her with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. "'Forever only starts sinkin' in when those months start turnin' into years," he says. "Trust me." She stares back, deep in thought. He's always been extremely difficult to read. Vegetto folds his arms, "Do ya regret it?" "Huh?" Kefla response on instinct, having been dragged out of her thoughts abruptly. "Fusin'." Vegetto clarifies. Kefla shakes her head, glancing to her hands. "No, of course not!" She says, clenching her fists. "Caulifla wanted to save Kale, and Kale wanted to save Caulifla!" "Fair enough," Vegetto shrugs, "There ain't a wrong answer." "It doesn't even matter now, anyway." Kefla mutters, glancing away. Vegetto brings a hand up to his face again, in thought. "... There ARE ways t' force apart even fusions like us, y'know," he states. "Risky, an' hurts like a BITCH besides, but they're options." "I'd--..." Kefla's body tenses at the realisation. She looks away in dismissal, "... I'd have to think about it." "Don't let me sway your opinion," Vegetto says with a laugh. "Just consider what Kefla wants, too." She frowns. "'What Kefla-'?"

Kefla sits back again, folding her arms as she scoffs. "Well SORRY for being concerned, asshole." She sits quietly, her mind inevitably beginning to wander. Finally, she looks back at Vegetto. "So what happened?" Vegetto shifts position slightly, before they respond, "I can guess. Everythin' seemed fine when we began. But all of a sudden ya started to..." Their hand moves over their mouth as they continue to sift through the events that just transpired. "... How t' put it...?" they mutter. "Flicker," they eventually settle on as they recall the glimpses of Caulifla and Kale, "like your own mind can't tell who ya are." The water, ever flowing, ever shifting, trickles gently around them. "Huh?" Kefla's voice cuts through that gentle sound, "I know who I am just fine." Vegetto continues to think. "How long've ya been fused again?" they finally ask. "Um..." Kefla wrings her hands slightly, "a while now, I think. 'Bout 8 months, give or take?" "8 MONTHS?" Vegetto's shoulders drop as he stares with a strange expression. "What's THAT look for...!?" Kefla struggles to hide the accusation in her tone. "Nothin'. Just felt myself age." "Well, how long have YOU been fused for?" She then asks, fishing for further clarification. Vegetto folds his arms, glancing upwards. "Hmm... Mighta been too quick t' suggest image trainin." Kefla pauses. "Are you even listening?" "HEY!" Kefla shouts in his face, tired of his dodging. "Quit bein' so loud." Vegetto remarks, flatly, before glancing away with a pointed "Anyway." Kefla growls in frustration. "I'll bet what happened is 'cause your fusion's still... unstable." He says. Kefla sits back, glaring. 'Stop ignoring my questions, bastard,' her anger remains unvoiced. "'Unstable' how?" She asks aloud. Making a vague gesture, Vegetto explains, "You ain't come t' terms with... all THIS."

The darkness gives way to a sliver of light as the sound of flowing water and birdsong fills Kefla's ears. She blinks, coming to her senses in reality once more. Green trees as far as one can look, and a deep blue sky above. Earth. (Or Solace, as it's called in Universe 18.) Kefla looks to Vegetto, who remains deathly still. '... Are they even breathing?" she wonders, trying to glimpse the rise and fall of their chest. Vegetto and Kefla are sitting on a rock in the middle of a stream. A waterfall endlessly flows just up from them. Vegetto sits in a padmasana position, while Kefla just sits cross-legged. She continues to stare, waiting for them to wake up. The clouds continue to drift far above. No movement from Vegetto. Kefla leans forward. "... Vegetto?" Shuffling closer, Kefla waves a hand in front of their face. "Hellooo?" she calls, "Son Vegetto?" Slowly, ever so slowly, Vegetto opens his eyes. Only to jolt suddenly upon realising Kefla is right in front of his face. "You good?" She asks, her brow furrowing. "... Little close, ain'tcha?" Vegetto remarks as he leans back slightly. Kefla scowls. "And whose fault is that?! You said you were right behind me!" "Yours."

And she is gone. Leaving Vegetto alone in this constructed memory of Sadala. He turns his head. A figure stands in the shadow of the thicker canopy. The spitting image of Vegetto himself, wearing the clothes of Universe 7's God of Destruction. The figure tilts its head as it flicks its tail. Just... observing. Vegetto stares back. In his eyes dance the faintest flicker of fear. He turns away.

"When I was getting the upper hand!?" Kefla exclaims in anger. "AS IF!" She thrusts her hand foward, once again gathering ki and pointing it directly at Vegetto. It falters again as a jolt of pain shoots through her body. Her hair suddenly begins to lose its golden glimmer. A flash of light, vibrant crimson. Kefla's wrist is grabbed again, this time an overwhelming energy binds her body in place. Vegetto stands before her, his hair and eyes now the same red as the flash of light. Super Saiyan God. They remain there for a moment. Kefla releases the energy she was gathering. In turn, Vegetto lets go. Caulifla and Kale hunch over, breath growing ragged. Kefla looks up as a gentle, yet firm, hand is placed on her shoulder. "I mean it," Vegetto speaks in a soft tone, but his eyes remain sharp. "Somethin' ain't right." "Close your eyes an' take deep breaths, okay?" he continues. Kefla just listens. "Good." There is the quietest sigh of relief in Vegetto's voice as she closes her eyes. "Now, slowly, shift your focus back t' the water, an' open your real eyes." Only now do his eyes soften to match his tone, when she cannot see it. "I'll be right behind ya." "... Okay." She concedes. Her body begins to disappear as she follows his words, form dappling apart like light through the trees.

The ki is thrown at Kefla's face, grazing her cheek on impact and breaking her focus just enough. Vegetto uses the momentum of his dodge to carry him further, spinning until his hand hits the ground. He quickly readjusts his position, shifting one leg out. Kefla wipes the blood from her cheek, eyes flashing that greenish-blue again. Kefla charges towards him once more, teeth bared. Vegetto shifts his feet, ready. He lowers himself right down to the ground, swinging his leg up to strike Kefla in the chest from below her. The blow launches her away. Kefla lands on her feet, no need for readjustment. And finally, her ki erupts in golden light as she fully transforms into Super Saiyan. Her hairtie snaps from the force of it as her now golden hair shimmers. She opens her palm, gathering ki of a green hue. The energy falters, struggling to maintain its form. "Huh?" Kefla's eyes widen. Her hand... Her hand is unsteady. Her vision is blurred and unfocused as a dizzyness overtakes. She stands there for a moment, the faintest tremble in her hands and breath. "Kefla!" Vegetto's voice cuts through the haze. Kale looks up. "That's enough."

Kefla lands one last blow, a solid roundhouse-like kick that sends Vegetto flying backwards at high speeds. Vegetto skids to a halt, the faint light of ki around his fingers to dig deeper into the earth. He looks up with a smile, ready for more. For a moment, the person he sees is not Kefla, but Caulifla. "Kefl--AGH!" A swift strike to his abdomen launches him upwards and knocks the air out of his lungs before he could continue. Kefla vanishes to strike Vegetto in his back, kicking with both legs. She then chases, determined to land another blow as he hits the ground. Vegetto grits his teeth as he hurtles back down, and ki gathers around his hand once more. This time, it forms a small orb. Vegetto holds the orb underneath him, using it to absorb much of the impact. As Kefla strikes mere moments behind him, Vegetto twists his body to the side. For a heartbeat, they make eye contact.

Vegetto leans forward, eyes flashing a bright crimson as he smiles. His response is simple. "Make me." Immediately, Kefla tries to throw another punch, but Vegetto catches her wrist with ease. A moment passes, and he tightens his grip just slightly. Vegetto spins, suddenly, throwing Kefla towards the trees behind him. Kefla collects herself and kills her momentum by digging her hands and feet into the ground. While she recovers, Vegetto begins gathering ki around his hand. Kefla wastes no time in leaping for him again, her eyes flashing a familiar greenish-blue colour. Her body flickers just slightly, the faintest trace of an afterimage. Vegetto notices, particularly her eyes. There's only barely enough time for him to readjust, using his hand instead to block Kefla's incoming blow from behind. His eyes narrow, just slightly, as he tries to read her next move. Kefla begins to strike repeatedly, over and over. Her ferocity forces Vegetto to use both hands to block the blows. Vegetto flinches, just for an instant too long. Kefla's punch hits strikes square, directly to Vegetto's left (and slightly weaker) shoulder. He grits his teeth as the sting of pain shoots through his body. Now opened up for more strikes, Kefla doesn't hesitate. Three successive blows, two punches to his face, and then a knee to his chest.

Another hit on Kefla while she remained winded, Vegetto lands a punch to her abdomen this time, with equal force. He then kicks, the blow landing and succeeding in launching Kefla into the air. Vegetto chases after her, leaping into the sky. Specifically, he jumps above her. Another kick, this time landing squarely into Kefla's back, sending her hurtling back down to the ground below. The impact is forceful, enough to form a small crater as the shock wave pulses outwards. Kefla begins to push herself back up, with gritted teeth. Vegetto vanishes back to the ground in front of her. They don't continue to strike, instead folding their arms again with a much more serious expression. "Get up." The sound of their voice makes Kefla look up, before she pushes herself up to her feet again. Face to face with Vegetto, she scowls. "You're lettin' me get under your skin too easy," Vegetto explains, "It's makin' ya reckless." "Well I told you to take this seriously!" Kefla scoffs. As Vegetto's eyes widen slightly, she continues. "But here you are, untransformed!" Just barely audible under his breath, Vegetto laughs as his head tilts to the side. Kefla stares back in mild confusion.

Vegetto stands with arms folded in a clearing. The environment seems to be Planet Sadala, of Universe 6, with violet trees, a yellow sky, and a large moon hanging in the sky. Vegetto remains both quiet and still, listening. Something approaches, jumping between the trees too fast to properly see. Vegetto turns his head slightly. "Ain't gettin' cold feet, are ya?" He asks, speaking loud enough to be heard. "Or were ya just lookin' t' waste my damn time, sittin' pretty with your tail between your legs?" His grin widens as his taunt continues. "Don't bore me, now!" Just as he finishes speaking, the leaves stir again, and Kefla leaps right for him, one hand balled into a fist and held back in preparation. Kefla shouts as she approaches, winding her arm back further as she snarls. Vegetto, upon hearing her, quickly shifts his feet to turn around with an almost twirling motion. In that swift movement, he dodges her punch, and has begun to lift his other leg in retaliation. Kefla has no time to react in the split second action. Vegetto's kick makes contact, hitting Kefla in the abdomen with force. They pause while Kefla is stunned, only for a brief moment. Then, he shifts into a familiar stance. The thumb, index and middle fingers of his left hand curled upwards.
