this is weird though, because its just including manga content that was cut, except i think including it into the first season would have made it worse than what we have, the pacing would have been completely shot in the foot and the ratio of good to bad episodes would be worse

it only has this series' biggest strength of the writing in its main duo in the last three episodes, and those are the only ones that i found overall enjoyable because the rest of it feels like if that one iura episode in season 1 that was noticeably worse than the others was repeated 10 times

Horimiya: The Missing Pieces

honestly the pieces should have stayed missing, why are there only three episodes about the main characters? why does it focus so hard on the bad comedy from season 1? i get that this isnt a real season 2, but this was such a letdown after i enjoyed the first

i am going to give the manga a go because i really want to see where the character writing goes from here, there is a lot of potential but something as short as this isnt really enough for all of it to shine through

though when my biggest issue is that i want more, you know i liked it

the story of the source material feels very progressive and ahead of its time for how it does a pretty good job of covering the topic of gender, but the story does still show some age with its kinda repetitive formula for the general structure, and not every little mini arc hits for me

i think something as light hearted as this is what i wanted, because there is a lot of effective visual comedy and gags that made me laugh on multiple occasions

im also a fan of the characters, there are so many goofy and likeable side characters and i really like the main duo of ranma and akane

Ranma 1/2 (2024)

i wish we got more stuff like this from mappa, because the blend of the oldschool character designs and expressions combined with very vibrant, modern colour palletes make this a really nice anime to just look at, imo its way more impressive on a visual level than mappas other work

not to mention that its actually really fun to play with a lot of cool trials, dungeons, solo instances and optional raids and i like both of the new classes but especially gunbreaker

oh and also the soundtrack is incredible, maybe the best in the series (also up there with X)

there are so many incredible moments in the story that there are too many to mention specific ones, but my favourite moment in the whole game comes from the last post-shadowbringers trial (you know the one if youve played it)

this is up there with FFX for most emotional FF stories to me

this is the best written expansion so far and its not even close, it has amazing character writing with my favourites being thancred, g'raha, emet selch and ardbert, it is really well paced, it has compelling and emotional themes and it adds a lot of really cool characterization to the WoL

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers

its kinda wild how this just completely blows every other previous expansion for this game out of the water, this is the expansion that made me interested in the game to begin with and it not only met my expectations but surpassed them in ways i wasnt expecting
