My husband is spending his retirement as a caseworker for people after helping them secure housing, running a winter shelter, working on the affordable housing committee for our town, serving on boards & assisting non-profits- all volunteer! Ive said: enjoy life. This post helps me understand him.

Could not agree more and I've been married 40 years. My husband has always done more than me in the house, with the kids, is supportive, has a career in social work... But if I tell ppl to stop the 'jokes' it's like "chill we know it's *not all men* you bore." So I don't usually speak up.

In most (all?) of Europe touching produce isn't permitted. I've seen Americans get scolded by vendors for picking up produce to inspect.

It is always sad to leave a beloved place but you are heading home during a freezing cold week here on the Cape/Islands so at least your timing is good!

My resolution is to spend time in the early morning doing a Calm meditation and then drinking tea instead of doomscrolling and drinking red bull. But I'm on bluesky right now so maybe I'll start 1/1.

We spend a lot of time in Brooklyn, it can look dreary from a distance but it's wonderful once you're actually there! By the way you will drive by my house in Falmouth on your way to the ferry!

It seems like you think you have more information than the International Court of Justice? Do you dismiss their investigation and conclusions? And things have only gotten worse since then.

"controversial views?" Try "dangerous views"

Yep I think it's part of his basis for each choice. Also it's likely that there is a craven logic behind each one. It's so horrifying to try and figure out what that logic might be. Tulsi is the scariest for foreign policy, RFK the most dangerous for the public health, Matt is the grossest....
