Quiet storytelling that are at times heartbreaking and at times peaceful. It's one where you are ashamed of the characters while you look deeper into yourself. Also learn a great dip into learning about the zen of Buddhism.

Great history book about the period when Handel wrote Messiah, and also about all the other players involved with its premiere and ascension to something being played annually in churches and around the world. Well written and engaging, recommended to everyone even if you don't know who Handel is.

Beautiful collection of bird stories and poems surrounded by colorful illustrations. The saddest stories are the ones written by the author, about his own life and his interaction with birds. It's a great read for bird watchers and bird fans alike.

@crobertcargill.bsky.social knows how to write inventive and engrossing stories, and this collection of short stories is a great sampler for those who are fans of his film stories (Sinister, Doctors Strange).

Older horror book about late 70's with psychics, vampires, and USA vs Russia (The way all great stories go). It's written in an older style for horror that made it read dated and sort of convoluted, but the story is good, which, in the end, is all that matters, no?

The prequel to "Bringing up the bodies" is as enthralling and interesting, despite being over a hundred pages longer. Fans of historical fiction should pick this up and give it a read.

I feel like these kind of books are more about someone publishing their blog than actual books. Sure, the information and detailed recap of the plot is great, but the rest of it just feels like some guy babbling on about the game...

Is it non-fiction? Is there a genre as speculative non-fiction? Because some of the stories here makes me wonder is wondering about what could have happened makes it real?
