JK saw a tear fall from Dan’s face, as he was hurt by JK’s distrust. He knows what he did was wrong and realized it the instant Dan asked him, “Don’t you trust me?” However, JK’s pride was stronger in that moment, leading him to walk away and try to escape the situation.
