As someone who spends a decent amount of time in the Louvre for a non resident of France (most recently on Friday, here’s some nice art:) I am getting a bit ‘will people stop being mean it can’t be easy to look after that many items can it’ defensive :)

Went to the John Singer Sargent exhibition at the Musee d’Orsay on Sat. Too many people to be able to linger properly but could see why the fuss. Here’s some portraits

to sit, it’s fine to linger! (i understand why the Louvre don’t mind, because until the selfie-moron-attracting painting is banished to the basement they’ve got too many people )
