Great question with this answer: when Trump says, “U.S.”, Trump is really saying, “Trump’s”. Try substituting “having my businesses in Ukraine” and it is what he means. Whether Trump would deliver on any security promise against Russian aggression depends on how much Trump is under Putin’s thumb.
