Emergency Mobilization, AFT members, State House, Monday 11/17 11:00AM The Kean Act (NJ S4881), the bill that lays out the legal framework for the merger between NJCU and Kean University, is headed for a vote by the end of the calendar year. The bill as it is currently written is disastrous for you and your NJCU colleagues. On Monday at 11:00, Council President DiGiorgio and AFT NJ President Higgins will be testifying at the Senate Higher Education hearing. AFT members need to pack that room, both to support our NJCU peers and to highlight that this is unacceptable at every public four-year in New Jersey.
