The agent told me that this should be expected for any governmental agency: Passports, driver licenses, name changes, adoptions, etc..
They also said that anyone with a gender marker of “X” will be detained at borders, and public intrastate transportation.

What this means for us is that anyone requesting their gender marker chgd (for ANY reason) from their assigned gender at birth, wouldn't receive the documents they are requesting.
Additionally, I was informed that the docs, regardless of legality, would all be confiscated & not returned.

My renewal req'd a gender marker chg. I was told, discretely, by the passport office agent that as of this morning at 8am (1/22), they were informed all passports requiring gender marker change were to be pulled from circulation, & put on hold until the legislation being written on them goes thru.
