That’s a start! Let me know how it goes. I’ve found art supplies at garage sales, relatives, artist friends so you can hopefully start without wasting until you get your bearings with it. If you decide to take lessons on Patreon Eileen Murphy is great

On colors, you may just want to get a starter set (I forgot Sennilier like them too) that will have red, yellow, blue in both warm and in cool shades, 6 total plus a white (titanium, stay away from zinc, it is brittle and may flake) & a black. I’d also get any color you fall in love with.

4) trekell.com make sturdy, easy to use & clean, brushes. I like Richeson grey matters too. A basic beginners set will be great.

3) Avoid cadmium hues until more experienced at paint handling (avoiding toxins) and if you choose to use thinner, to clean brushes or for light washes in first layers, use osm not turpentine.

2) Look for single pigment paint (you’ll see numbers like pr122 on the side) made with linseed oil. Rule of thumb when you mix, fir secondary colors, try not to have more than 3 pigments - 4 at most
