Eva Luna ~ Isabel Allende, 1987
from an ‘89 paperback copy I found this week in Lisbon.
Allende’s writing is transcendent and incredibly potent. And this brittle paperback with its handwritten message “Casa is Portugal” seems to be endowed with a kind of magic dust.
