Why is Putin backing Maduro? Rosneft gave Venezuela $6.5B since 2015 and took 49.9% of CITGO as collateral. If Venezuela defaults, Russia controls major U.S. refineries in TX, LA, IL. This isn't about Venezuelan minerals it's about Putin's leverage over U.S. energy infrastructure.
