But then I gotta mention the whole location services paranoia I have (why does my phone randomly at all times peep my location? Why do my photos have a location???)

Also? ALSO? This liquid glass thing sucks ass and it lags my phone and drains my battery even faster. Fuck apple.

And then I think about conventions and gallery shows and honestly, the ability to pull up my portfolio in the palm of my hand IS pretty nice.

I think about how much our lives are tied to our cell phones and it disturbs me but at the same time I don’t know an easy workaround beyond just, carrying a digital camera around and using a gps/map while I transition back to a dumb phone and use my laptop for everything like I did in college.

I tried to pick up prints, but learned the store changed management and couldn’t call the former owner who lived a couple blocks away and instead will have to make a separate trip. Again, thankfully not a long trip, but an inconvenience that could have been resolved that night.

My camera is my phone (my main source for art reference), my christmas secret santa is on my phone, and of course, communication happens through my phone. I missed 41 texts yesterday that thankfully weren’t time-sensitive.

What if I needed to reset a password because I tried to login on a laptop instead? So many of these sites send a verification code to your phone.

With my phone being a brick, I couldn’t call to set appointments, couldn’t use it as a GPS, and didn’t have my insurance information (the last one is an easy enough fix that under my current circumstance would require a library visit, but the app is, also, on my phone)

The whole reason I needed to update was so I could continue DDing, because I couldn’t update the app without a full phone software update. I couldn’t make money until I updated my phone.
