In the Covid times @theworkingdead.bsky.social suggested a Hack-a-thon. Previously only knowing Hackman’s work as a one-note villain in thrillers of the ‘80s & ‘90s, but knowing his reputation far exceeded those, I picked up the challenge. These are my top three. Thank you, Mr. Hackman. #moviesky

I was so skeptical about Identikit, but it now lives in my thoughts the way few movies do. Muriel Spark’s novella, The Driver’s Seat, is available to borrow on @archive.org and is equally compelling. Every word rich with meaning. Genius.
