I've asked you a couple of times: what *are* you even arguing, or are you just taking the opportunity to be a dick?
December 5, 2025 at 1:06 AM
Ill be completely honest, I have no idea what you're arguing other than "Steam removing this game sucks." And, yeah, it sucks. Okay. Great. And?
December 5, 2025 at 1:04 AM
Do you have a point or are you just being a dick?

Well, looks like I got blocked. 🤷‍♂️

This is different,by the way, from that bakery that refused to make a cake for a gay couple. It would be more along the lines of a bakery refusing to make a penis-shaped cake. They're not rejecting the developer. They're rejecting the product.

In a perfect socialist paradise, this wouldn't matter, because an artist being able to support themselves wouldn't require them to make art that corporate drones like. That's not where we are right now.

Your right to move your hands ends where my face begins, to paraphrase Benjamin Franklin.

I'll state my position clearly: the Horses dev has the right to make any kind of game they want. Steam has the right to say, "we don't want this on our store" for any reason or no reason.
December 4, 2025 at 10:49 PM
In all sincerity: is that not what this is? Steam saying, "no, we don't want that game on our storefront."

Honestly, I'm more concerned about what happened to No Players Online (fake DMCA strike took the game down for a few weeks right after launch) than this.

Thinking is liberal claptrap.
December 4, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Now that is something that is definitely on Steam, and they should rectify that.
December 4, 2025 at 7:29 PM
I understand that its hard to make a living as an artist - my mother was a writer throughout my childhood - and I'm not sure what the solution is here, but I don't think its "Steam should not exercise editorial control over its storefront." /3
December 4, 2025 at 7:18 PM
I understand that this will make getting their game in front of the public way more difficult, not nearly as many people know about itch.io as know even about Epic or GoG. That sucks, but Steam already has more gross garbage than they should and game-shaped objects than they should. /2

Comparing the US government murdering some poor dudes in a boat and a vendor choosing to not allow a piece of art on their storefront is kind of a shitty analogy, both in the sense of "inaccurate" and the sense of "mean spirited". /1
December 4, 2025 at 7:10 PM
I don't think that, but I also think that Steam has a right to say no to a game.
December 4, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Oh its some gross game named Horses that steam didn't want on their platform.
December 4, 2025 at 1:19 AM
Im assuming its a euphemism for something.

Well then, I declare them to be Master Baiters!
