Hundreds of Beavers

Best I've seen this year, and somehow I don't think anythings gonna beat it

Like even superstars had some good parts and didn't lead to any PR disaster/nightmares, Colors Ultimate is the last one I can remember

12. Shovel Knight

Bought this on my 3ds with a friends recommendation back when I wasn't on the internet that much and didn't know it made this massive splash. But this is one of those awesome games that after you play it instantly clicks, gaming indie magic in its early days.

13. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The Game of all time. I don't love fighting and I don't think the game itself had a massive impact on me, but everything the internet has done surrounding it is incredible and makes each entry in this franchise magical. Thank you Sakurai!

14. Monster Hunter World

The gameplay loop and co-op are too purrr-fect not to include this. I jump between this, gen ultimate and rise a lot. All of them are great for their own reasons, really glad I got into the series thanks to gen, but I've def played world the most.

Felt like they finally embraced that it is a "sonic" movie, no more buddy cop/weird side plots, it knows what the audience is here for and does so without throwing out any other relationships they established in the previous stuff. Very happy with it

15. Castle Crashers

One of the first times I got a "smaller" game. I love the art style and the goofy comedy. Played this before I even knew what Newgrounds was so it was kind of nice to have that entryway of sorts. I liked playing as the evil dark night guy

I also saw all the popcorn boxes on display, I know I don't need more plastic junk, but the temptation was mighty

16. Portal 2

The perfect puzzle game for a guy who doesn't like looking at grids all the time. Although ai guess the panels on the walls could be grids... uh I like the story (:

Actually Let's Go Eevee is kind of unexpected, but I think more represents how little I played my switch in general lol, no real big games that I sinked my teeth into yet, waiting for next year to give echoes of wisdom/brothership a go

17. FFXIV

More MMO's yessssssssss, this and D2 are pretty swap-able for me, but I did play this one mostly alone over the years. Regardless, I think it has a weak start that blossoms into an incredible story and gameplay loop that I'm still hooked on to this day, Endwalker is my fav expac

18. Destiny 2

This one jumps in and out of my favorites all the time just cause of the nature of live service games, but dang, the ride has been really fun some years and has easily created many of my favorite multiplayer gaming moments.

19. Paper Mario: The Origami King

One of the rules for this list is only one entry per franchise, this and Super Paper Mario are always fighting for the top spot in my head, but right now I feel Origami King connected with me a lot more and I found its gameplay and exploration top notch.

20. Rayman Legends

Video games are inherently whimsical, this game embraces that fully. All of Rayman Origins being included is also a bonus, but this is an incredible 2D platformer maybe my favorite in contention with Mario Wonder (I wrote this list before the release of it!)

21. Pac-Man World 2

So this was my first game ever, and I think after replaying it again and again over the years I was really lucky to have this be it. Character and level design is insanely fun, cool world map and a setting that really made me passionate about gaming in general, Kino
