there's also got to be allowances for the fact that in 2023, the pros and cons of genai were being worked out still. unless you were very online at the time I could see someone who would otherwise understand the issues with the tech simply not knowing.

kind of a sideways option, but newpipe for android let's you download videos and pick quality, bitrate etc. I just used it yesterday so it should be working still

tbh, I kind of think raocows lp was the ideal way to go. it was a blind playthrough, but there was a team of people in the background keeping a living document of everything he sees as he saw it.
