Nice collection.

Got this one in person in 1992. The A’s used to have players sign for $5 after certain games. Miss those days.

1980 Topps and 1981 Granny Goose. Both signed and will always remain in my collection. RIP Rickey 😢

Guys like Johnson and Nolan Ryan were freaks on the mound. They racked up heavy innings for 20 or more years and never got injured. Hard to compare many other pitchers to them.

Agree. The Ryan & Clemente cards are up there too.

That’s your typical spiteful Finley at work there. Williams was the best manager the A’s ever had but Finley wouldn’t let him do what he was paid to do, which is manage.

Perhaps his inspiration was ….🤔

I discovered oddly when sending cards TTM that he lives less than 10 miles from me. Who knew?

I second that. 71 is iconic. 70
Is dull. I can say that because I have both!

Was at that game. It was that bum’s only home run he ever hit for the A’s.

Damn this just plain sucks. Wishing Ryno the best in his treatment and recovery.

Nate signed this TTM about 2 months before he passed. RIP.

Beauty card. Nothing “average” about a vintage card of a Hall of Fame lefty.

I went to school with Mike. I met him
When I was 10 years old. We graduated from the same elementary school and from the same high school (Hayward High, Hayward, CA). Sadly he passed away last year at the age of 63. RIP Michael.

I saw that play live and it was the weirdest reaction from a guy in the dugout that I’d ever seen.
