The recent Ezra Klein show episode with Kara Swisher is brilliant BUT: whittling this evolution in the tech/CEO class into the radical right wing down to the individual small dick energy of the persons themselves is an oversimplification of an overarching huge cultural shift

His defence to this on his app being “calling everyone Hitler is so tired” is possibly just as insane. Shouldn’t anyone’s first and primary defence be “I am not a Nazi!”

So in the same breath DJT encouraged death penalties and mandated that states keep a certain stock of lethal injections, and also freed a bunch of what can be called his horde? Henchmen? Loyalists? Who were arrested after a coup attempt. Are they FOR strict justice or not? Who knows

Surely there has to be some cultural trauma and personification built into Godzilla in relation to the nukes right? Is Godzilla the nuke? Is this obvious? I’ve never watched or thought much about Godzilla but this just came to me in a moment of enlightenment that will take me out for the next week

Read Trust by Hernan Diaz recently, deserves all the praise it gets. Anti-patriarchal and vengeful book. Very interesting take on the Who Tells Our Story narrative. Everyone should read this book and grant it the patience necessary for it to get in its stride
