Journalists, knowledge workers, artists, and creatives of all sorts recognise the unfairness built into the current AI paradigm. How it negatively affects their relationships with their work. How it funnels value away from the people who produce the value.

What an excellent observation: you are entirely correct.
Mistral also prides itself on being "transparent and trustworthy", yet when they released Mistral-7b, they did not reveal the training data, and as far as we know, have not disclosed it since.
