Who is Ethrophic Burnett? Ethrophic "E" Burnett has lived in the Hawthorne neighborhood since 2013. Through her work at the Northside Achievement Zone, Urban Homeworks, the Office of Neighborhood Safety, as a Policy Aide, and by just being an involved neighbor, E has been advocating for the Northside for over a decade! With her work at Northside Achievement Zone, she has learned firsthand from her neighbors about what is needed to close the achievement gap and help young people stay in school and learn all that they can! Caucuses are just 20 days away, so here’s a brief guide on the process from Team E!

Why do We caucus? Caucuses are a time for neighbors to come together and discuss what issues are most important to them at the local level. Caucuses are also when neighbors decide who should represent their neighborhood at the DFL Convention. What is the DFL Convention? The DFL convention is when representatives of each neighborhood come together to vote for which candidate best represents the values of the DFL party. The candidate with the most votes receives the DFL endorsement, and receives resources from the Minneapolis DFL party. What are caucus and convention like? While it may sound overwhelming, caucuses and convention are actually really fun! It's a great opportunity to meet your neighbors, talk about issues you care about, and build community! Step 1 Visit our website and sign up to caucus. Step 2 Attend caucuses on Tuesday, April 8th at 7pm. Step 3 When asked if you'd like to be a delegate to the Ward 5 Convention, say YES! Step 4 If need be, make your argument of why you should be a delegate for Ward 5!
