Indeed. The tl;dr is that there's a lot of case-by-case basis going on right now and no assurances can be given to US. It's on the involved parties to negotiate, and there are possibly ways to make the transition smooth.

I asked Ben Diskin this question recently if you want to see his response:

Question, in the hypothetical scenario where a bunch of dubs sign one of these agreements and thus flip to Union projects, what happens to the VAs who have voiced in multiple of these projects who run out of Taft-Hartley exemptions? Would they be forced to abandon their roles?

I appreciate the response. Wish the strike would just end already (as you all do, obviously).

My only concern is that signing these agreements will cause difficulties for the non-union VAs on the project. I don't want them to end up having to quit the project just because I want my preferred language to resume recording, when just waiting for the strike to end will also accomplish that goal.

As to the original question, that's my only real hesitation when wanting to ask devs to sign any of these agreements. I agree that the strike is for good reasons, and I understand why Unions exist and why they are good.

Sorry, at least in my circles, we use dub to refer to video game language variants too. So for example, when talking about the English version of Genshin Impact's voice over, we would call it the game's English dub. Perhaps that's not accurate and the term dub is only supposed to apply to animation.

Can you possibly clarify something for me about the interim agreements? Does signing the agreement also mean agreeing to make the project a Union project post-strike? My understanding after reading them is yes.
