We have spent the last several decades and perhaps the last couple of generations teaching kids to avoid difficult conversations. It's not surprising that the younger generations aren't showing up to protest. How do we turn that around?

This resonates so well. I think it's the reason why protests have not yet become large.
How many are organizing out of sight, helping put people in touch with actions and with other people? And how many are engaging in performative nonsense that saps the will to act? BlueSky, for all its joys, is rapidly becoming a place for performative anger leading to apathy for real action.
