Retired Construction Manager launching a new career as a vintage and antiques vendor. Lives on 2-1/2 acres of old farm land with garden, orchard and lots of invasive weeds to battle. Eeyore is my spirit animal.
I've been exhausting myself working in the yards, orchard, composting, gardens, and anything else to keep my mind occupied. I have lost 10 pounds in the past month. I am terrified as I throw out my retirement planning. I get anxious when I think of just turning out of the driveway. I look for hope.

Attending to the orchard ... new pear tree, moving some of the volunteer babies, clearing the grass and weeds, fertilizing and mulching all of the trees. The existing trees are from 20 to 50 years in age. They have now been provided with full spa treatment ... looking for a good harvest.

Fighting with the remains of the laurel hedge ... pickaxe, heavy duty ratchet assisted loppers, pruning saw for the bigger roots ... and two hours of hard work for four square feet of clearance. I have to come up with a different approach. There is about 600 square feet of roots.

I think the story is the complicity of the Congressional Republican caucus for not having the spines needed to stop this mess. THEY HAVE THE CONSTITUIONAL POWER TO FIX THIS MESS!!

We know who is next on the list to be stripped of civil rights after trans folks - Palestinians. If you are of Palestinian heritage, regardless of legal status, you no longer have 1st Amendment rights, or the right to due process. So far courts are holding, but the anti-dem force will keep trying.

Iowa has stripped our trans fellow citizens of their personhood under the Constitution. If this is allowed to stand which group will be next?

February 28th is an economic black-out. It is also my birthday. Please join me in not participating in any economic activity in the dominant marketplace of stuff.
I will be celebrating my birthday with an afternoon at a local vintage fair, dinner at the food trucks. All cash and hyper-local.

I took a few more items up to my vendor space today ... tidied up and left about 2:00. One of the cut crystal vases I had just added was sold before I got home. I've almost covered the monthly fee for the space now. Really pleased since it has been a slow month! Lots of potential as spring arrives.

More of Judy's Favorite Finds have been priced, tagged and are on the shelves in Port Townsend. I now have half of a glass case for my smaller (and pricier) items. I reorganized my shelves (had to unload, move, secure to the wall and reload ... ). I have sold a few items, the adventure continues.

The US does not have a sovereign interest in the Ukraine and Gaza wars. It is only the arms dealer and shouldn't have a seat at the table.

It's for real, OMG!, Judy's Favorite Finds has a business license and a vendor space at The Port Townsend Antique Mall.

This is something I have wanted to do since I was a kid ... finding cool stuff, cleaning it up, selling to happy buyers. More stuff is waiting on the shelves in the shop.
