Nah, i’ve always disliked them. I’ve thrown fits over them before, personally, but I can’t really speak for everyone

I took a comp-sci 101 course in college once (I think it was actually 120? Idk anymore, it was effectively a 101) and, as a cyber sec major with years of experience in more advanced computer use, had to teach people how to: make folders/zips, move files into zips, DELETE FILES

Even just the summary on the link is contradictory, "CarPlay and Android Auto are buggy making people use their phones anyways? Lets get rid of it and make them use their phones MORE than if there was some system to reduce it as much as possible!" Like, at least for me it minimizes it a lot
