Ah sorry I did not realise you were trans. I understand where you are coming from
Allowing boys into guiding would solve the issue for the trans community. However we get a lot of teen girls join us from scouts as they no longer feel comfortable. Where would they go if there was no girlguides?

Out of interest were you ever a member of Girlguiding? Rainbow, brownie etc?

It feels like red bull have had more drivers than I've had hot dinners recently! Yet Stroll still gets to play bumper cars at the back 🤷‍♀️

There will be other groups and organisations that offer this. There is no other organisation that offers a girls only space.
And don't think guides is all sweetness and light - most weeks involve a lot of running around, shouting and general rowdiness. I think we will have to agree to disagree

Sorry I'm slightly confused. To be clear I am against Girlguiding's decision to exclude trans girls and women. Girlguiding is for All girls and women. But that girls only space is needed and I particularly see this with the teenagers I volunteer for. A space where they can be girls.

Girlguiding is girl only because there are very few girl only organisations. As a guide leader I see teenagers get to spend 2 hours of their week get to be kids again. Away from school/social media etc where they present as grown up. I don't think this would happen if boys were included.

As a guide leader I am extremely sad and disappointed that this decision has had to be made. We are an organisation for ALL girls and women. 🏳️‍⚧️
