Yes. I go by feel though. If it snaps together too easily or if I can open it with my bare hands it’s done (with KMC anyway, haven’t used YBN so that rule of thumb may not apply)

Silca Josh says don’t wax the quick link, since everything it touches will be waxed anyway. Makes it easier to snap it together and perhaps might make it last for more connect/disconnect cycles

Depends on the brand, the KMC ones are Officially Reusable (though only for a few times)

The CR450 exists… but it didn’t when the standards were written, and I think you can’t even buy CRRC trains in the US anymore
