One of the best parts of my commute is passing through Puʻuanahulu, especially when the jacaranda are in bloom. Reminds me of the excitement in my mom’s eyes every time she’d see them on our many road trips growing up. Her sense of wonder continues to inspire me.

It's important for us to remember the contributions of generations before ours that allow us to do the work we do. Bonus for me: he brought his sister Irma, who I haven't seen since she retired from Mayor Billy's team!

One of my favorite moments in my first weeks at Keck had to be the day we welcomed Uncle Cisco back. He retired from the mechanical engineering team in 2006, and came to visit with friends. Was so cool to hear his stories. We still use his contributions to our infrastructure every single day.
