A list of the degrees the Department of Education will reclassify and no longer consider professional degrees: Education (including teaching master's degrees) Nursing (MSN, DNP) Social work (MSW, DSW) Public health (MPH, DrPH) Physician assistant Occupational therapy Physical therapy Audiology Speech-language pathology Business masters Engineering masters Counseling & therapy degrees This goes into effect on July 1, 2026. You will not be able to apply for federal student loans for any of these degrees.

I love when you a have clear medical issue (dysphagia) but it happens seemingly randomly and it doesn't happen during the official testing for said issue so they're just like "Everything looks normal! Take small bites and sips and eat sitting up!" Like, thanks! My body literally goes into the drowning response after taking sips of water sometimes and I can't eat grapes because of it and sometimes my throat doesn't let me swallow but ok! (upside-down smiley emoji and thumbs-up emoji)

40 days of pain and for what?? Where once the majority of Americans were still blaming the republicans for the shutdown and supportive of the Dem's fight, now I won't be surprised if people turn around and say "Maybe the republicans were right! Maybe the democrats DID want the shutdown! Maybe the democrats WERE just doing it for selfish reasons!" Why should anyone believe that you were genuinely fighting for us after you give up and get absolutely nothing out of it in the end?? I am so fucking angry, dude.. Communities were coming together in historic ways to get us through this shutdown because we understood how important this moment was and how important it is to stand together. The republicans tarred us and then the democrats feathered us.

Senate Dems caved because of course they did. No more ACA subsidies (meaning premiums are going to skyrocket), no medicaid funding restoration, and they gave up their demand for no more rescissions from Trump. They gave up everything. Absolutely spineless. Convenient that they waited until AFTER the elections and held the vote on a SUNDAY. Either Chuck Schumer is so inept that he is incapable of whipping his own party, or even the Dems that voted "no" also wanted the bad deal and they just had 8 Dems take the fall because most were either retiring or weren't up for reelection until 2028. Schumer must step down! The Dems who voted "yes" must be held accountable! Disgustingly pathetic! This was the last straw. The Senate Dems proved last night that they are not willing to stand up to Trump AT ALL. All of the suffering everyone experienced during this shutdown was for nothing.

I think my favorite thing about going to protests (and why I always try to go despite knowing my pain will flare horribly) is that it's the ultimate touching-grass moment. Since going to these protests this year, I've had many people tell me that they love my sign. The sign that I always take says "Trans rights are human rights" over the trans flag. (emoji of the trans pride flag) Most of the people who have complimented my sign are older folks too. Gathering under a unified goal of protecting our rights and democracy proves that the internet isn't real life. Internet algorithms reward and boost negative ragebait. It's overflowing with AI chatbots who are often indistinguishable from your average redditor. It gives the impression that the majority of people are against you. Not to mention gen AI images and videos making the content we see online even more untrustworthy.. Everything online feels like it's made to make you question reality and enrage you. Going out and protesting proves that most people don't act like what you see online. Even when people disagree with you, they most likely won't be nearly as straight-forwardly hostile i r l. The internet is not real. We the PEOPLE are. We need to stand TOGETHER. Throwing any one community under the bus will inevitably run us ALL down. Protests alone won't solve our current predicament but it's a good start. I highly recommend getting involved in some way with your community, even if it's just showing up to a protest, esp if you are feeling any amount of isolated or hopeless. (emoji of a red heart)

If this ceasefire actually holds, it just means Israel will go back to business as usual. You cannot just "move on" from genocide. The apartheid and occupation has to end, Palestinians allowed sovereignty over their land, and reparations must be made. Otherwise, this will just return to the slow-burn ethnic cleansing that was the status quo before Oct. 7th. Also, if this holds, it will be seen as Trump bringing "peace" to the region; something the democrats will have failed to accomplish during the Biden admin, effectively delivering Trump a massive gift. (Not surprised it didn't happen under Biden, of course, since he's a enormous Zionist and so many Dems accept AIPAC money, but I digress..) Anyway, Free Palestine! Not just from genocide but from apartheid and occupation too! (emoji of the Palestinian flag)

Yes, I am aware of that as a former recipient of abuse. However, given the reaction and testaments of his friends who are around Hasan and Kaya for long periods of time, day-to-day, and the enormous amount of recorded counter-evidence (man is literally live for 7-8 hours a day every single day), I find it extremely unlikely that he is THAT good at hiding abusive behavior. Abusive people do not typically have that degree of control over their abusive tendencies unless they are an actual literal psychopath...and I think his friends would be able to tell if he had antisocial personality disorder like that. He would have 100% already have slipped up before now if he were abusing his dog off camera. Consider this: if someone regularly uses slurs, how easy is it for them to accidentally slip up and drop one when they don't mean to? You're not going to randomly "accidentally" say a slur unless you regularly use that sort of language already. Because shitty behavior like that becomes habitual.
