I have a desk clock that purports to set itself via GPS. Its 8 minutes off. I can manually adjust it to correct it, but the second power goes out its back to being off. I can't fathom how this happened.

I often need to update the contents of variables in for loops and always run into scope issues. You can get around it using namespace objects but that seems like a weird hack.
