The EEES Department hosted a Chili Cook-Off last Friday! Participants including students, faculty, and staff made rich, chunky, and spicy chilis that brought the heat and the fun! 🌶️Awards were given in different categories for some of this year’s best chili! 🎉

We are excited to announce that the EEES Advisory Board held its first meeting on 10-17-25! The board will primarily be tasked to identify ways to improve the program. We are very thankful for the support the board will provide to the department and collaborate with alumni.

Raynara Jacovone, Jaqueline Souza Soares, Dr. Debora Rodrigues, et. al. recently published a new paper. Their study looks at how a common water treatment chemical, called #polymaleic acid (#PMA), can help stop mineral buildup on the membranes used in #desalination systems.

Yesterday we had the welcome luncheon for our undergrads in our department.
We had lots of fun with great conversations and interactive games. We closed the meeting with prizes and final presentations from #Environmental and #Biosystems #Engineering Clubs. We are looking forward to a great year.
