I was skeptical because of the sleaze factor, but I’m opening up to him. He’s a fighter and he can play the middle, which is critical in getting some Trump votes.

Going to where the voters are is what works. Funny you bring up Manchin. I hated his guts too, but I also love him for not being a Republican, the only alternative. If we successfully ran a progressive against him in the primary, we would not have the affordable care act or Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Wrong lesson. Mamdani is great for nyc and candidates like him can win in other liberal areas. For democrats to gain a majority, they should also run more moderate candidates in moderate areas.

The under-taxation of the large super-wealthy contingent in NYC could make this the exception. Free buses don’t cost much compared to all the taxes wealthy New Yorkers avoid.
