Coincidentally, a year ago today, on World Diabetes Day, my daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It's been a whirlwind of a year for her, with lots of adjustments to her lifestyle whilst coping with typical teenage angst and her GCSEs. I am so incredibly proud of how she has dealt with it.
