Is it not what Canada wants- to build our local military industry and achieve sovereignty and independence of our forces. We can still use the already purchased F35s for assignments with NATO.

In light of the trade and actually economical war between US and Canada it is mind boggling that the Canadian government is not fighting back. There are no negotiations with a stronger partner, only their demands. Contra tariffs and taxes would be appropriate.

Looking at the US Canada trade war I am surprised that almost every body forgot what President Trump had said at the beginning. He said that he would use an economical means to make Canada 51 state and that’s exactly what he is doing. I guess the media is not finding this interesting enough?

It is unwise not to have full and independent control over a critical and costly military asset such as the F-35. This is especially relevant given Canada’s current challenges with the Trump administration.
