Yesterday's bottling of this year's grape harvest (Niagara from my Dad's and LaCrosse, a modern table grape) plus some tomato wine.

Yesterday's Part 2 of my double-Eder. An annual pre-Thanksgiving gig with the Sounds of Stow Chorus and Orchestra.

Lennie, what were you thinking? 9/4 & 10/4?

Part 1 of an uncommon double-Eder, with an even rarer occurence of a gig in Boston, 1st time in decades.

At MIT with a pickup orchestra backing an MIT chorus in a new hall

Subbed in a big band Thursday night. They were rehearsing for a holiday concert. One of the numbers was this.

After the song, I asked the trumpet section, "Did any of you hear James Darren / Jack Jones singing this on the "Boat of Love"?

Are you? If' so, "gimme a Hell Yeah!"

I took my trusty reliable picture tube tv up to the recycle/landfill.

Watched and taped a lotta quality tv shows on that tube:

The Legendary Journeys of Hercules
Xena, Warrior Princess
Charmed
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Lost World
Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda

A rare daytime sighting of the "Hardest Working Cat in the Hardware Biz" doing some security patrols.

In the pics where Oreo is looking at me, she's really looking at the Asst. Mgr. who keeps a small bag of cat treats by the checkout counter. She has the Mgr. well-trained...

Saw a news report recently about a new “social disease”:

Doomscrolling

My take is if you have stress / anxiety about who unfriended you recently, unfriend me now. You’re way too needy to be part of my world.

Recently, I got dubbed “The Obsolete Man”

Picked this up at a state Visitor’s Center last week. I have no knobs to hang this from. Everything is flush and/or touch-pad tech. Did the designers of this travel bag thought about modern cars?

Note the misspelling. What were they thinking!?

Started working on some licks for Capriccio Italienne. Had an Edpiphany. There are some runs in the Capriccio that I just can't play. Doubt I ever will!

"They're too darn fast!" I'm gonna play the downbeats which form a triad of various types.

Note the tempo for the 8th notes!

"Holy Bela Day, Batman!"

On his birthday, we’d like to remember actor Bela Lugosi (October 20, 1882 – August 16, 1956).

If'n you know who he was, we can be friends.

Cue “This is funny.”

“And I am... Obsolete Man.”

For years, I have viewed myself azza anachronism.

Now, a friend/carpenter who did work on my house insisted on giving me a 33” wide-screen tv, an extra he had.

He checks his conductor’s score and tellss me it should be a B natural and will remind us tomorrow.

My final quip is "What does say about a fellow's ears if he picks up a disc(h) in a Shostakovich Symphony. Him, "I'd say that's a very good thing" again with the eye twinkle.
