This is the worst conceivable reason to vote the way he did. Kaine is right that it would have ended the filibuster, and good riddance. It would have been clear which party stood for what, and it would have been a far better outcome for Democrats.

Trump says conflicting things on a nonstop basis. You can't draw a conclusion from any single comment, or policy change. It could immediately be reversed.

Unfortunately, talking to Trump and Vance is like talking to Putin and Lukashenko. Zelensky has no choice, but to stand up for Ukraine. There's no way to be diplomatic with them.

They could have an informal agreement, but a treaty must be ratified by 2/3rds of the Senate. They're not going to bring in US troops, so Trump's one tool is cutting off aid, and logistical support. Europe must stand up to Trump and Putin.

I'm glad he said it, but what is the GOP doing? We have a US President carrying out Russian foreign policy, working actively to perpetuate war crimes, and they've sat back and done nothing but enable this.

Sadly, we all know how this is going to play out. Trump/Musk will do whatever they want. My question is -- do they want a test case to show they control federal law enforcement, and are above the law, or would this be an inconvenience to them?
