Yeah for movies I agree the subscriptions probably aren’t worth it. But I think most software that runs on SaaS model ends up being cheaper for me as a hobbyist and light user and more expensive for the businesses and power users, which tracks with me as to how it should be set up.

You could say that :) just think there are pros and cons. It feels really bad to have a bunch of subs slowly leaching money from my bank account, but these subscriptions also make products available at a feasible price point for me and allow me to use the excess money for investments/whatever.

Subscriptions can be better for the customer, just like how taking on some types of debt can financially advantageous. Having more capital available opens up more opportunities.
