Interesting how you're not even understanding what I have to say. Also, if you're going to insult me, don't be shy about it. Say ass without censoring it, then I can respect your insult. If you're going to be immature and rude, then own it.

You're paying for a version on steam that is capable of more power than the switch 2. The switch 2 version won't run as well in comparison to the version on steam if you have a good PC capable of running more graphically challenging games or a gaming PC.

Persona 2 is a good pick

Switch 2 if it actually had character:
June 14, 2025 at 7:49 AM
Consider that most PCs are typically more powerful than a Switch 2, and power requires money. Nintendo is also selling digital games for the same price as their physical games, 80$, and digital games don't really cost anything to distribute, unlike physical, and EVEN THEN, it's questionable.
June 14, 2025 at 7:46 AM
Oh, gee, I wonder why PC companies make more money than video game companies...maybe it's because PCs can be used for more than just gaming? They're basically a necessity nowadays, because their utility is basically priceless. Work, communication, AND gaming all in one place. They're convenient.

If you're going to make a claim like that, I need you to tell me where you got said information. It makes no sense to say something like that without elaborating.
June 14, 2025 at 7:35 AM
I have no idea what you're talking about.
June 14, 2025 at 7:29 AM
I don't remember saying anything about getting a PC. And if you could acquire one, why not just build one yourself anyways? You can't do that as easily if at all with the Switch 2 regardless. And it's funny that you're mentioning the price when that in itself is a huge problem for the Switch 2.
June 14, 2025 at 7:11 AM
I think that yeah, people are definitely way too heated about these discussions online right now. Yet, I don't really know if what you said about the industry not following anything Nintendo does is completely true.
June 11, 2025 at 5:25 PM
As much as I dislike the Switch 2 and what Nintendo is doing, I think your reasoning for being disapproving of the online discourse is justified. I don't really blame you, spend your money on what you want. But I'd like to ask, what is it specifically about the Switch 2 that attracts you?
June 11, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Thanks for the advice. It seems the general demographic of switch 2 defenders can be hard to argue with, but I do like trying to make arguments respectful as it's not just about spreading your own perspectives, but learning new ones as well.
June 11, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Yeah, a lot of people were tired of that era of Nintendo and just wanted something new. It's quite funny though, because a lot of people miss that era of Nintendo looking back compared to what we have now, because their consoles admittedly had a lot more personality and quirk despite their problems.
June 11, 2025 at 4:53 PM
It definitely seems like it. But I was thinking we could talk about it like two mature individuals would, as the issue is deeper than a lot of people think.
June 11, 2025 at 4:50 PM
To be fair, I never experienced drift on my Wii U. Not saying it doesn't exist, but I don't remember it being a problem as it so prominently is with the Switch, and yet no one was claiming it would fail because of it. Say what you will, but I actually think the Wii U was a great console.
June 11, 2025 at 4:46 PM
That's the problem, Nintendo hasn't really changed in that regard.
June 11, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Another good question. You see, hall effect sticks seem to cost more to manufacture, yes, but with the price they're selling the joycon 2 controllers at ($95), it's unlikely they'd lose much profit from it regardless. The regular joystick parts are probably dirt cheap anyways, though.
June 11, 2025 at 4:36 PM
And what would those narratives be?
June 11, 2025 at 4:23 PM
It's a shame, I agree, but ultimately an inevitable outcome. Why would they change anything about their console if it makes them money and sells a lot? If this is the case, then in their eyes it's working out well, because Nintendo doesn't listen to criticism online, but through sales and revenue.
June 11, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Fixed, in this context, is unfortunately not the case. There is proof that the Switch 2 will undoubtedly experience these issues considering the materials Nintendo put into making the joysticks are basically the same. www.thegamer.com/nintendo-nin...

I respect that idea, but I believe it might be hard to fit the ds screens in a good aspect ratio without having to modify a few things. And there might still be huge, unused portions of the screen. But I could be wrong about that.
June 11, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Interesting idea. I've wondered how they'd handle the idea of dual screen functionality if you only have one screen to work with. Maybe they could implement some sort of wireless dock and turn it into a glorified Wii U with the TV serving as top screen and switch as bottom/touch screen, lol.
June 11, 2025 at 3:23 PM
And also, as much as I like my original Switch, I've experienced the frustration of joycon drift, and I don't want to deal with that again. The Switch 2 also faces these issues, and of course Nintendo is giving "free repairs" when their controllers should've been working in the first place.
June 11, 2025 at 3:16 PM
I still don't really know if that's reason enough to justify getting a Switch 2 at launch from my own perspective though. Considering it lacks plenty of features, such as an OLED screen for example. I don't doubt Nintendo will release an upgraded OLED version in future.
