My heart goes out to all the journalists out there fighting the good fight whether being laid off or being called derogatory names by a pig of a president.

While teaching, a child asked me if she could draw a picture for me and I said “Sure, why not.” This is what she gave me. Looks good! I told her to autograph for me in case she becomes famous and that way I could have the true, early sketches of a future artist :)

I'm not knocking down my fellow teachers, I'm just saying that the students have more power and more authority than the principal and teachers do.My heart goes out for all the teachers out there struggling for the right to give an education to someone who needs it.

Don't get me started on Common Core math. Who thought "Hmm, a longer way to do Math, that does not save time and also wastes time?"Now, don't get me wrong, I've had so many great teachers who deserve to be put up in the Hall of Fame for their efforts.

When I was younger we had to work out our problems and used a graphing calculator that would sit in a closet somewhere in my house. Why do students have the ability to use tech more commonly with regarding to cheating and texting other students in the class?

Why? The students have more power than ever outnumbering the teachers 30:1, more than ever especially due to COVID having them out for at least a year. Students are encouraged to use their phones to help with their work. Huh?

Today's students try to push every button in the book by enraging teachers. Not to say that my fellow teachers are already enraged, but the extra work they have to put in just to get half of the class to listen and participate. I've had my share of ups and downs, mostly downs.
